i have a slight problem with my t5 while at traffic lights or at a stop with the clutch held in when after about minute or more when setting off the engine just ticks over even if you have it on full throttle then after a few seconds it clears. it only does it when you leave it ticking over if you blip the throttle its ok. i tried leaving it ticking over with clutch in and let the clutch out slowly and got my mate to turn the petrol off when the engine was about to struggle and the revs came back on when he turned the petrol off. its ok when going no problems i've changed the carb , filter and cleaned jets out any ideas thanks :?:

The first few things I can think of would be float needle flooding at tick over, play in the drive bearing moving the crank over when the clutch is in and allowing a leak on the inlet port ,rotary pad damaged or crank twisted allowing excess fuel in.You could remove the carb and look down the inlet port to check the crank web for scuffs as you turn the flywheel and pull the clutch in to check side float. But I could be wrong

I have experienced a similar problem, then i looked down at the flywheel whilst pulling the clutch in and out. Shocking site was the flywheel moving out and scraping the flywheel cowling! That was my problem.
