My clutch arm doesnt return fully, leaving the cable and lever abit slack, is it just the clutch arm spring that returns the arm? if so, would a new one solve the problem? Ta

sounds like its tight in the sidecasing....the clutch itself should push the are back and the spring on the arm release it fully...sounds like it needs the shaft taking out and checking and cleaning

it could be normal- the present set up is giving you a slack cable which is required, however, there should only be about 1/8th slack "gap" at the handlebar lever end (see the old WSM).
If your "gap" is bigger than this then adjust the cable so the gap is reduced.
Its very rare (unknown to me) that the clutch shaft gets that sticky- the clutch springs are very strong and will easily move the shaft
