Anyone had any or heard of any problems with Agusto units and CDI units?

CDI compatability issues or failures etc?

I have read that someone had trouble with a CDI
but that it all worked fine with a Ducati CDI.
It may of been on the other side.
I've been looking at getting one but I'm a little concerned
with the retard & road speed.
If there is going to be failures we shall start seeing them as the summer/ rally season
kicks off.

yes, I recall that, I think fitting a Ducati CDI solved the problem.
But I know of Agustos working with non Ducati CDIs. Fairly sure Angry Bloke on here doesn't have a Ducati CDI. I believe as long as it's a quality CDI, rather than some cheap tat bought on the 'bay, it will work.
of course, you're right about this summer being a testing period, let's hope the results are good.

Just done 530 mile round trip to scarborough and scooter ran perfectly. RB22, augusto, franspeed tourer exhaust, 95 octane petrol at 2 per cent. Was not hanging around either. The longest stretch we rode non stop was 78 miles ( according to lambretta speedo ). Took just over an hour and burnt 12.5 litres of fuel.
I feel very confident about the augusto now.
