bgm supercharged dampers

I have just fitted my new bgm dampers i only have 27mm of the chrome shaft showing and they are bottoming out when i braking, they are set on the hardest setting . when they are fully out off the bike there is 48 mm showing . bike has got standard springs in the forks . the brackets are welded on the fork legs at 23.5cm as it says in the sticky book . bike is an s2 li with ts1 and disc brake fitted . what do you think .

dont know how to put pics on . took them off bike at mo don't want to break off mountings top or bottom !! got cleethropes rally at weekend . want to get a solution before i refit them .

I had exactly the same problem with mine.
I built my GP when the first edition of Stickys book was out.
I noticed he changed things regarding damper bracket positioning for the second edition.

That won't stop them bottoming out on bumps, only on brakingMinority wrote:If it's an outboard disc, convert to antidive, problem solved. Most people who have done the conversion reckon it's fantstic.

Remove the bottom buffers and fit the smaller type, should give abit more room.

thanks for the help new sticky book says set them at 23.5cm-24.5cm and smaller buffers will put it right. I think i may change springs to . ta col
