Gearbox Mashed Up. Use Vijay Super MK2 as Replacement?

Hello

Took my engine apart as the clutch was playing up.
The gear cluster is destroyed where it runs in the needle bearing and the needle bearing has been smashed into dozens of little unidentifiable pieces. The ball bearing in the endplate is obviously well sh@gged too after having a wobbly clutch and gear cluster.
The gearbox is / was an Italian GP200 and I'm using a 46T clutch sprocket and a 19T drive sprocket which gives the ratios to suit the motor. I doubt I will be able to get hold of a decent Italian GP200 Christmas tree for less than 5 million pounds so I need an alternative. Now lurking in me shed is a complete gear box (4 x loose gears, the gear cluster and a 15T drive sprocket) from a Vijay Super MK2.
In standard form (46/15) the ratios are a bit different in 1st, 2nd and 3rd to what my GP200 with 46/19 gives me but the 4th gear ratio is pretty well bang on the same.

Anyone know of any reasons not to use this gearbox? The name is great so it must be good.
Not sure why the needle bearing and cluster ate themselves. Think once they start to go and the hardened surface has worn through it's all over pretty quickly.

Any help, advice or words of wisdom gratefully received. I'd like to be riding again asap.
Cheers.

I think MB do a replacement track for repairing that sort of damage...won't be cheap but might be worth it to salvage your box...I can't find it on their website worth a phone call though

Yeah, cheers. May have a look at that. Problem is though that the bearing track on the cluster isn't worn - it's fookin mullered!

I should be able to repair it if you get stuck, what does the worn stub measure (thickness)?

Thanks for the link to the MB repair part. Just ordered one and will get the cluster turned down to suit here at work.
If I make it a decent fit and use some Loctite retainer (648) it should be good to go. If it doesn't go to plan I will certainly consider Wack 63's offer to repair it. Thank you. The diameter of the track has been cleaned up to about 13.3mm. Think it needs to go down to about 12mm for the repair bush, will find out when it arrives.
Still have a gearbox from a top sounding Vijay Super MK2 for backup too.

Cheers
PS Check out what was left of the bearing....that was as I found it when I removed the gear cluster. Not sure the pics upload properly though, just seems to paste a link. I struggle with pretty well everything technoid, the telly remote has way too many buttons for a start.
