I'm starting to build a 125 special with my son who is nearly 7. He wants to do it all with my help and we are working to a budget using stuff I've got knocking around in the garage.

For cylinder kit I've got a choice of an MB suzuki 190 which I got done years ago and haven't used or a GT 190 kit with the RHS inlet.
I don't really want to use the standard airbox system so I am happy to use the kit with the carb on the RH side.

Is there anyone out their using the RHS version of the GT kit? Are you happy with it? Have you tried it against the LHS version? Was it a lot thirstier for not a lot more power?

I know that Al has got just as much performance from the 26mm LHS version as from the RHS 30mm version, so on that basis I'd prefer the smaller LHS set-up, but if you are only using what is handy then it will all work ok with RHS and a PHBH

Cheers Sticky,

I might keep the inlet for a rainy day and get the LHS one. I've got a 24mm mikuni knocking around to use.

I'd go for the TM24 with a manifold for a PHBL on the LHS. (But NOT the TM24 I've just bought from you on Ebay Ian!) ;)
