ive just rebuilt my t5 with a molossi 172 new mec crank and new everything else....spotless. however mrs cezeta running a p200 mmw head and sip road pipe went flying past me on a hill today and its putting a strain.on our relationship.

she is half my body weight and more aerodynamic so im after more grunt to save me going to weight watchers.

im using a standard t5 pipe at the moment, ive tried the sito plus which i took of as it sounded like i was dragging a bunch of side panels behind me all tied together.

what else is there thats grunty?

The pipe i've got on my T5 is the taffspeed goldline . Best of both worlds really. Good torque and allows good rev on. Another bonus is that you can also use the main stand and carry a spare. WSP are selling them again on ebay although the price seems to have risen alot in comparison to what they were selling at about a year ago. Mine is an 'oldish' pipe but is solid. I'm unsure of the build quality of the new pipes. The old ones were bulletproof. Best pipes for T5's in my opinion.

is hers a malossi 210? or just a stock 200 with a pipe and head? a 172/T5 should fly... you havnt overgeard it have you? flys on the flat, struggles up hills?

no just pipe and head, it does go well though. the sip road is a great pipe.

gearing is standard so under geared if anything


ive ultrasonic-ed the carb and its a bit better, maybe running lean from blocked passages. ive challenged her for a re match

Had a lend of a Malossi`d T5 with SIP R/H pipe last year to do a rally and it was a similar story to yours. Mate had a standard P2. I massacred him on the flats but on any long uphill drag our bikes were on a par. He was also a flyweight and I`m a big c**t.

sorry to bleet on about this but all these pipes look the same but claim high torque, which one will pull a side car full of bricks with a molossi 177 engine

the taffspeed goldline can not be used with a stand so thats out.

I'm looking for a T5 pipe with good torque too and like yourself i was mulling over the one on the SIP site.
I've just looked at the other 2 and they are all made by JL so i presume that they are all practically the same design so not much difference if any between them i would say.

I did have good results with an old mickeck with an avc (?) valve powervalve thingy it was crazy fast , but while probably not at its full potential now and sounding horrible mine pulls like a train all through the range with a standard sito on ,can't fault its all round usability with that.
Also 21 t cosa clutch and 125 main jet ,3% mix in tank,super unleaded ,no autolube (only cos its in an older frame and i bypassed it).

I run a 172 and Scorpion, absolutely flies as you know.


but I only use flat routes and never ride into a head wind.
