When my PX is slowing down, going down the gears, it locks the rear wheel when letting the clutch out when it is in gear. I believe this is called 'the overun'. I'm not really using the gearbox to slow down, more to ensure I have engaged the next gear properly but am hesitant to do this as I have to quickly pull the clutch in to release the rear wheel lock up. The rest of the time the gears work fine, apart from a bit difficult/stiff when changing down multiple gears when slow or stationery!!

Any ideas anyone? I gues it's an engine strip down.

I have already been informed that the clutch plates might be warped because on setting off at high revs the clutch snatches and can spin the rear wheel momentarily!! Could it be part of the same problem?

TIA. Phil.

sounds like the clutch has come loose on the crank, and the clutch sounds knackered as well. i wouldnt ride it anymore until its been apart. the keyway on the crank will get buggered if it is a loose crank, and you continue to use it.
