I'm putting together a px from bits i've picked up over the last 12 months and have been offered a Baji engine.

It needs a few bits to it but I've never had one of these apart so am struggling..

can you fit px parts straight on to them? I'm looing to put a PX Stator, fly wheel and selector box on it. Also can I use a PX cuciform and oil seals.

I was also thinking about puting a kit on it to give it a bit more go, could I justlump a DR180 onto it?

Thanks in avance

Bajaj engine eh..... the simple answer is NO to all the above, except the kit, you can put a DR kit on, with a packer plate (3mm i think, taffys did them for a while, SIP might have them in stock) the cylinder studs are just long enough with this combination. you can then use any px exhaust, instead of the studded Bajaj arrangement. you"ll have to cut the bracket about, but it"ll fit. some have the flat EFL cruciform, and an EFL selector box fits on some as well, but they changed stuff about that much, it could be any combination. if its complete and very cheap (i.e. £50 or under) go for it. if not, wait for a px motor.they are stil cheap enough to pick up.

the electronic is like a strange old style coil, and a made up electronic bit in two parts, the crank taper is differant, and the casing where the stator fits is differant also. the later ones had a plastic fan on the flywheel, which also has the early "self extracting" circlip style flywheel nut. they made millions of the buggers, but gettin bits over here is a pain. K @S from derby ( i think) hold spares for them, but last time i got something from them for a Bajaj (an exhaust) it was nearly £100 for a standard posted. a px one is what? £35/40 quid?
