I need some help!

The centre stand spring broke, (2 days before MOT) eventually tracked down replacement, when trying to fit them back the knob that the springs hooks on to (frame side) snapped off, so now the spring has nowhere to hook on to, so I thought take the centre stand off for MOT, undid the nut but the bolt aint moving, whacking it with a hammer didnt make it even budge.
What do I do? how I can pass a MOT with a centre stand that wont stay up, and I cant remove it, Ive tied a bungee to keep it up and out of the way but that will fail a MOT I presume
Can I get the knob welded back somehow? and if i did would it hold?
How can I get the bolt out to take the stand off?
Any one flogging MOTs?????? lol
