hi has anyone ever tried fitting a bigger fuel tank on a t5 or px ? and if so does it improve how many miles you get that much and what is the biggest tank you can get? cheers.

you can get (or could get) a larger tank that went all the way to the bottom of the frame, about 12-13 liters, but it had to have a pump fitted , as it wont be gravity fed , the fuel pipe exit being so low down. you could fit a center tank, and have a dual tap (wait until the low fuel light comes on, turn on auxillary tank to top up main tank, a la "Dreadnought") also, so desert race vespas had two standard tanks welded together , but one was where the pillion seat would be, so you have to fit a single saddle. or the easier answer is, you might have a 140 mile range in your tank, but youve only got a 60 mile arse. i wouldnt bother.

hahaha ive been out on it already and shut it spud head! u cant talk with ur 18 liter tank !
