No, that's correct. The bearing sits just proud of the casing, not flush. Keep on carrying on ;)

Ian- do you mean it appears further in on the bottom as against the top? (i.e. it appears in at an angle?)

Hi Chris ,if you look down at it it is very slighly raised ,i heated the case it has gone in as far as it wil go,so when the plate goes over studs it is very slightly raised .
Cheers
Ian ;)

if its equally raised all round then thats fine

However, if its raised more in one place than another then that's a definite "no no" as the bearing is not seated correctly because:-

1) bearing is machined incorrectly- where is it from?
2) casing is machined wrong- highly unlikely
3) some crap between bearing and casing- possible.

If it was me, I'd remove said bearing; thoroughly clean where the bearing fits, then fit an Innocenti original item (used is fine- its probably better than a remade item IMO)

Cant understand this ,swapped both bearings & fitted then in my spare 125 case ,the bearing outside track is the same very slightly raised towards the rear top ,also inside the case if i run my finger along the outside i can feel it slightly raised ,it is tapped in as far as it will go :(
Cheers Ian
