Here comes the sun...BANG! there goes the scoot haha... pics below of my piston and chipped port:

1. Can i use the barrel with this chip in it? its a little less severe than it appears in the pic.
2. will the head be ok, do i replace it or get it re-profiled? , it has a few dents in it!!.

**I was going to replace the piston with a MB Racetour, or do i stick to the IMOLA specific piston?

**I want to fit the BGM 60mm Crank from MB (*link below), and use a packing plate to take everything up, is it as simple as this or will it involve a lot more science?

all advice most appreciated.

the chip can be cleaned up as long as theres no high spot it will run fine,?what caused the failure did a small end bearing fail ,whats the mark on the top right of the barrell ,has it lifted the plating?
the head can be recut on the squish band and in conjunction with the stroke change on crank will work well as the barrell can be left as it is without a base packer plate which will keep the port specs low

Being posted to MB on Monday for a once over, tidy up + bit of a fiddle then returned with the new crank, piston and bits.

Ill assemble it, then its off to either Diablo or JB for a dyno to make sure its all set up correctly.
