IMOLA exhaust opitons?

Im running a Silver special with an imola kit & 28mm dellorto.

Im not interested in expansion pipes, just options for a standard looking pipe to fix with the imola kit.

I opted for the Ancilotti pipe when i fitted the kit late last August, after dropping the engine today and removing the exhaust i discovered the fin ( 2x m8 stud fastenings) on top of the box has cracked almost the full length along the seam/join, with one of the loops / holes you put over the sutds totally crumbled in half...

Adding to this the fact the manifold has cracked all around the stub, leaving 1/3 or less of the diameter remaining intact and holding it all together haha, wow.

After being very impressed with the build quality and craftsmanship i may just buy another one... however i wondered what else was out there worth considering.

cheers

Ill certainly try to get it swapped but i cant imagine anyone will take an exhaust back after 9 months, ill try though.

What kind of performance was you getting with that set up?

In all honesty when i first put it together i only ever remember it being a very 'slight' improvement over an SR barrel i had on before it, which i toured to Spain and back.

However the Imola was a lot more reliable. Slightly dissapointing to hear im sure but thats my experience with it, i never intended to buy the imola kit, believe it or not it was pretty much the only kit available at the time, there were no GT kits and the initial Mugello i got was faulty so it got swapped for the imola.

Im sure if you paired the imola with an expansion pipe (which everyone suggests!) then the performance would be fantastic, but i prefer mine left original looking.
