Vespa frame struts

Just trying to restore a Vespa frame for the first time, the struts on the underside of the frame are vented to prevent rust but I'm tempted to block everything with seam sealer and then no water can get in in the first place.
So far the frame has been blasted and I fed as much Jenolite into the strut as possible, am I best to ventilate or seal?

Anyone want to offer any other advice over where benefits from seam sealing or not, I'm aiming for an as new (factory) finish but one that will last a little longer this time!

Also what are people's experiences of using stone chip on Vespa frames?

mine had a new floor fitted before i bought it. i filled the frame with waxoyl from the tank down, and from the hollow central box section up. the floof strengthening ribs ive left open, but coated thoroughly inside with an aerosol of ACF50, which is regarded by many as the ultimate rustproof fluid, its great stuff and gets in everywhere. we use it at work, its one of the few products approved for protection of aircraft. a 15 quid tin goes a very long way.
