do i need a different exhaust

i have a ts1 225 with a jl3 exhaust and a 35mukuni carb with a 350 main jet and 55 needle on the 2nd clip changed the jetting to 320 main jet and a 57 needle on the 2nd clip. the scooter was a lot quicker off the mark but seemed to hit a brick wall lower down the speed range any ideas thanks

I run a ts1 225 30mm phbh li150 gearbox 16/46 jl3 revs to 7500 think that is 4.9 . what are you running? col :fb:

standard sx 200 gearbox amd sprockets. when it had the 350 jet it was running slightly rich thats why i was told to down size

Have you had a look at carb set up on here that may help see what other's are doing . is timing at 17/18 . or go on a dyno replay scooters are good . scooterrotica got one to. or google lambretta gearing there's a place on there you can put gearing in gives you a chart .col
