hi got my imola all working, defo no more air leaks.now i think it is pinking slightly right at the top of the rev band
it is a 30mm delly with a av 266 atomiser, x7 needle with clip in second from bottom and a 130 main the plug chops are showing a little rich
ive been told to change the atomiser to a av268 and that will cure the pinking
any advise would be great

Dont go by revs.....go by throttle position. If its pinking between 1/4 and 3/4 throttle its going to be likely needle/atomiser combination. If 3/4 to full its likely to be main jet. if you roll off main jet to cruise between 1/4 throttle and 3/4 throttle and it pinks....again likely to be needle/ atomiser.
Look at what slide is in your carb too. For a plug chop to work the bike has to be warm and held at the same throttle postion for a mile (unles pinking its nuts off!) and then cut the ignition while riding at that speed with clutch in and coasting to a halt, do not slow down and then cut the ignition.
If its not carb settings, check your timing.

If its pinking on about 1/3 to 3/4 throttle move the needle to the third clip from the end. If thats not enough dont change the atomiser change to an x13 needle.
