i found my scooter had lost its gear box oil after new seals had been fitted so stripped engine again checked seals all ok no leaks anywhere well baffled any ideas anyone thanks ian :wtf:

i have had my fingers in three vespas in the last year all losing oil

one was "rebuilt" by a dealer with a reciept but when stripped it needed a new crank crusiform seals and bearings after 30 miles ???? the clutch seal was leaking


another had been rebuilt but the kickstart o ring had not been replaced


and another was leaking from the selector

also if metal rimmed main seals are used it can leak if not lock tighted or if the seal went in bent

probably a number of other but that my findings

i found my oil leak they had replaced my duwit washer with a copper wash on the level plug put new duwit on leak sorted
