Having just aquired a standard (apart from electronic) series 3 TV175 i was looking forward to sampling the "turbine like smoothness", hmm, sent hands buzzing in no time at all. I was talking to another s3tv owner and he said his was the same, were the reviews of the time b/s or do we have a fault, would appreciate feedback from TV s3 owners
cheers
Dave

Mine is incredibly smooth and pulls really well.
Standard engine with welded crank and Gori Sport exhaust.

Is that a TV crank in there i.e. with the tv rod or was it changed for a standard GP 58/107 crank. Its's the long rod oin the TV that's supposed to give the TV its smoothness. Mind you, I don't remember my old TV's (had 2 in the past) being particularly smooth compared to other scoots owned by mates at the time such as GP125, SX200, GP200. Most probably due to my knackered bearings and the other scoots all having the later silent blocks

Few years ago I owned a mint TV175 Series 3 2nd Version in metallic blue. Completely standard, all original apart from NOS innocenti engine mounts. Smoothest Lambretta I've ever ridden apart from a GP 125 with 100 miles on the clock.

Just picked one up. 1966, all original, blue metallic, 7k miles on the clock. Smooth as silk and pulls like a train. Best "grocery getter" I own.

wrekkah that is lovely. harry mills from our club has a topper TV175 series 3, that has a GP crank with the long TV rod and electronic ignition, but all else standard, and that rides smooth as silk. must be something a miss with yours dave.
