Nearly finished fixing a few issues I had with my first Dragster, but one remains.

The ignition switch does not kill the engine when turned to the off position.

I'm guessing I either have a broken wire/bad connection from the switch to the CDI of the switch itself is at fault.

Just wondered if this was a common fault before I start investigating?

the cdi unit is under the floorbord its like the lammy one with 2 green wires pull the loom wire of and leave the one from the stator it should start up ok then get a wire with a spade connector one end and bare wire the other plug it in the now spare terminal and with the engine running earth it the scoot should cut out you might have to runn another wire up to the switch but they normally brake near the terminated end

A new wire from the switch to the green on the CDi resolved the problem as suggested.

Many thanks for your help lads.

Passed the MOT today. Not that the ignition switch is part of the test. But it is helpful to have on an auto. ;)
