Hi, Has anyone had any clearance issues with the sip tubeless lambretta rims and the brake caliper on an outboard disc brake? Thanks.

Which Disc brake?
It should clear most, although it's a problem with the 220mm MMW/Jockey's disc brake and needs a shaving off the back edge with standard split rims, but this is a larger disc than normally used with Lambretta brakes. As long as you have 1-2mm it should be fine ;-)

It's the original MB one with Grimeca caliper, the disc's the one Jockeys are now using, it's all very close, slight catching in one place when the wheel turns and I was thinking of shaving the caliper a bit but not sure, might just put the split rims back on and banish the tubeless to the shelf of shame with the rest of the innovative rubbish on there. Thanks for your replies.

no dont do that sip tubeless are very well made wheels (unlike thier speedos ) just shave bit of the back with a dremel or something, not sure if 1-2 mm is fine like soulsurfer says bit to close for my likin thats what mine are and going to shave bit off

Can you post a pic as I'm not sure it's the same type caliper on the MB disc as the SIP one I've used?

2mm is fine, it's the German TUV approved distance, but you can go less.

Thanks Gaz, will take it apart and see if there's enough metal to shave without ruining the caliper, but I've lost about 10mm clearance, don't think I can take 10mm off the caliper.

Mike, the caliper is different, but the disc is the same.
