I've taken my clutch to bits today as it was slipping badly, amongst other things the clutch spider is knackered. Is the SIL item that scooter restorations sell a direct replacement ( jet 200 ), only asking because mb state on their website that the fingers are longer and may require a shim somewhere??? Has anyone any experience of the SIL item, did it fit ok etc, thanks.

The SIL one should go straight in but check the clearance when fitted to the crownwheel,ie how much it protrudes through. Personally I don't use Indian spiders as they have a tendancy to wear on the legs, it's better to use a Innocenti or Spanish original .
