Refurbishing a GP Grey plastic toolbox

Hi. can anyone give me some advice on preparing/renovating a grey plastic toolbox. Mine has a few scratches and the brown dulling from presumably exposure to the sun. It has been suggested to me that the plastic can be refreshed by rubbing it back using low grade wet and dry.

Has anyone done this yet, what grade wet and dry did you use and what was the finish like. Other tips and advice would be welcome.

Thanks in advance, Chris

I would try 00 grade wire wool to start, and finish off with T cut.

bit different to a plastic toolbox but i refurbed the black plastic bumpers on my vw with a hairdryer by gently warming them up and apparently this releases oils in the plastic ? don,t know how but it did work
