spraying plastic

Im spraying my mates headset top and horncase for his vespa (whisper it quitley) both of which are plastic. im using base coat & lacquer do i need to prime it with anything specific or will etch primer then primer be okay?

Hi,if its already painted then it will already have plastic primer underneath so you can just base/clear coat on top,but if its not painted then you will need to plastic prim then base/clear after .
