hi guys trial building my cut down headset. its an li series 3 top and bottom and am using late throttle and gear controls(wide gap for rods) question is i have 2 different lenght control rods but after offering up it seems i need to use 2 the same lenght!! should they be the same lenght or am i doing something wrong?? advice welcomed.

?? can anyone shed any light on this please or is it such a stupid obvious question?? i thought they would be same lenght but why are there 2 diff lenghts. are they for specific model?? help.
