went down to my mates today an took his 210 out for a spin after i changed the float needle valve to a 250 an up,d the main to a 130 didnt make any differance , flies through first and second gear but wont pull third or fourth to well like its loosing power would it have anything to do with the new pipe that i fitted to it a JL EVO S.I.P lefthander anybody got any experience with one of these exhausts, the reason im asking is before the rebuild it filled the clock an that was with a badly setup 28mil spaco and an old rusty pm pipe any help would be great thanks

You need to change your primary to a T5/Px125 primary gear which is a 68 tooth. After that change your clutch to a 22 tooth one. You could change your 4th gear to a T5/PX125 one as well ( I have but would like to try it with the p200 4th gear). Not sure about the top speed of mine as its of the clock and without GPS cant say for sure but on the Dyno it hit 91mph.

thanks for that li150 , i can see that helping forth gear but will it also help third gear pull as its like hitting a brick wall so to speak in third , as i said before it revs clean from idle , flies through first and second gear then bang like going from second to forth in third
Danger, I'll get on to Ivan to see about getting the timing set, if there's a new crank in it then the casing markings aren't worth anything. Did you know he has no head cowling on it, maybe a good job he can't rev it right out
I'd guess it's the pipe and it's just not catching the power band in 4th, T5 4th is prob the way to go, surely it would be screaming it's nuts off on 125 primaries

alrite john yeah that would be great he really needs that timing set 17 or 18 degrees , ive seen loads of tuned motors with no head cowling on really not sure that it will do any harm , i to think that its that pipe he really doesnt want to think that it could be the exhaust after spending all that money on it an who could blame him but we will see

Peak power output the malossi cylinder is produced @ 7000rpm with most exhausts available today.
There is a 10mph differance in the gearing at that rpm of the P2 & the T5 4th gears. Thats 80mph P2 or 70mph T5 4th gear.
This is why the engine would have to be screamed passed 65mph in 3rd to catch 4th & pull.
It is why the T5 4th has been a standard fittment in our 210 motors since the mid 90's.
I have just rebuilt a 210 Malossi reed engine for Jason Ude & it had standard gearing in & he suffered the same problem.
Now fitted with the T5 4th & he cannot beleive that it's the same scoot as it now flies!
