Monza 225 + TMX30

Having received my TMX30 in the post this weekend, I checked to see if it fitted the manifold and radiator hose supplied with the Monza 225 kit.
It does not, the carb requires a rubber quite a bit smaller, and the manifold itself has a larger inner diameter than 30mm as well.
Do I need to get a stepped rubber to get my carb to fit my manifold, or would I be better off getting a new manifold (maybe Monza 200 or Imola 185) wit ha smaller inner diameter all together? I'm guessing the chaneg in diameter from the carb to the manifold will do no good for the velocity of the incoming charge?

Just for info imola and monza use the same manifold, I guess a stepped rubber is the way to go.
You could try here

I guess the Monza is designed for a 34/35 mm carb in which case you'll need the stepped rubber (also available from Chiselspeed) but I doubt you'll notice any difference from the fuel velocity. I use a 35mm LTH manifold with a
30mm plate rubber mount with a TMX30 and no adverse effect, in fact it performs as well as the 35mm Mikuni. Also it makes it easier to swap carbs if you so desire. You may want to fconsider a V-Force reed valve while you're fitting up though

The rubber inlet manifold for The Imola / Monza is perfect for the TMX30. I'd ask the supplier to change the inlet for a rubber one, they also give you more space under the panel. New ones have been redesigned to be stronger than the old ones.
