Expansion Pipe with good ground clearence?

Hi All,

I'm after some advice if possible?

I fitted the latest version of the mugello small block 198 kit to my LI over the winter, I matched the inlet, exhaust and casings and have had it on the dyno at Readspeed a few weeks ago where it produced 20bhp and decent torque using an AF NK road pipe which I was quite happy with.

I'm suffering from ground clearence issues with the AF pipe which has similar routing to the Chiselspeed ADS3, particularly on left hand corners or when two up (which is rare) it grouds out.

I could modify the stub manifold to gain 10mm or so of clearence but am thinking that a different exhaust like the Chiselspeed ADS5, Franspeed Race or JL4 would work better as the routing is much less complicated, or perhaps just put a good clubman back on, Gori race?

Has anyone had any experience with these exhausts or could recomend an exhaust suitable for my mugello with good ground clearence? I'm using a 300mm R1 shock, uprated fork springs and only weigh 12 stone so can rule those out, but do ride motorbikes a lot so am possibly a bit quick to lean the Lambretta over

Jonny

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I don't like the look of the b race stealth, if your going to fit an expansion pipe i think it should hang off the side of the scooter, the pm pipe I'm not into either, sorry, I like the stub fitting and look of jl/nk exhausts and the old school feel of gori/Ron moss clubmans....

I also had a PM pipe(Fat Mamba) on my RB.

It was advertised with improved ground clearance but I still managed to grind it on right handers(no I wasn't about to fall off) :D :D

I'm running an old style Devtour now seems OK but not too sure what the new er ones are like

I'm thinking the Chiselspeed ads5 must be worth a go, or the Gori race?

I think I'm going to buy a second stub for the nk and modify it to see if I can get the exhaust to sit a little higher, there's a fair bit of room and 10mm could make quite difference :)

You'll be altering the the tuned length, and may alter the power delivery a little.
If you have 3.50 10 tyres you could try 100/90 to gain a little height.
I've have an NK mid on my rb and the ground clearance is terrible when cornering, I've now put my jl3 back on for the race track at Cobblesoul in three Weeks :-)
