I've got a bit of problem,
just fitted a rapido 225 top end running a 30mm & jl3, standard gp200 gearing & 4 plate surflex clutch, took It out yesterday seems like its got great pull until 4th gear, pulls up until about about 6000rpm then speed seems to tail off but revs carry on doesn't seem to be in lower gears but could well be, clutch was fine with the 200 top end on ??

Sounds like it. Try it in a lower gear, lots of revs, and going up hill. This will find it out.

A slipping front sprocket can also replicate the feel of a slipping clutch.

its too low geared, my rapido 225 classic /30mm /48 clubman hit a brickwall at 65mph with GP200 18/47/5.2 gearing. changed to 19/46 GP200 box 4.8 ratio and it flew . you can still use your 82 link chain with this set up, just a sprocket change. great touring set up.

My only reservation with it being the gearing is that the max revs peaked @ 8100rpm, & if I'm reading the charts right standard GP200 gearing set up would put me @ appx 80mph @ those revs.
I topped out @ 66mph.....

Also not following that...why would upping the final gearing improve this?

5.2 should be easier to pull than 4.8...

just my experiance with my Rapido , wouldnt pull over 65 on 5.2, pulled really strongly, but wouldnt go any faster, upped it to 4.8, and all was well.

Why not go half way,19 x 47 with slack 82 link ? 4.8 is fine on a calm day and no hills and Rapido's are not known for their torque as standard.

Cheers for the replies got some springs on order, so will get that sorted & then have a look at the gearing.
It's also not a standard rapido it's had a fast road tune & ports match by chalkie white
