I've ust taken delivery of a SCOOTRS winter-model type turning mudguard. Quality looks good, but I do wonder if it's been hand-beaten. I'll scrape some paint away soon and see if there's any filler surprises.

Anyway, a coupla questions:

-can anyone send me the correct dimension for the spacer ring that sits above the bottom bearing race?

-I'm fitting this to series 1, so can anyone confilrm how much of the dust bearing track I might have to grind of, or if I can just remove it altogether (preferable).

Otherwise all the other info can be found in the threads here, so look forward to your help on these ones.

PS: Don't say to buy spanish forks, I live Down Under, so I just wanna use what i've got.

cheers

as far as im aware the collar you need is the same dimensions as the frame tube (soullad could confirm) and should fit to the small recess on the outer edge where the lower bearing track sits

Thanks, for that, but I was also thinking of the ring height (never mind the girth)
