varitronic timing help

just built my engine and need to set the timing on scoot . ive been told to set it to 19 degrees btdc at 1500 - 1900 rpm , ive done timing before but ive been told its not the same as it sparks twice per revaluation, can anyone help me , thanks Steve

...if it's a kitted engine like my mugello its the third mark from the left = 19* line the mark with the center of the 6mm hole...
as I was advised works for me... ;)

just tried to time it up and at 19 degrees its fully retarded and wont go any further is this right , anyone ?

Steve, at what rpm is it strobing 19degs at.

If it was me I would turn backplate left (advance) 2degs so at tick-over it shows 21 BTDC and curves to 16 at high revs.
