have received the 225 Ali cylinder, have cleaned up all the ports, but it seems that the inlet port seems low going by information from forum members. it measures 98mm from top of cylinder to bottom of port and 73 from top of cylinder to top of port, is this ok ?

it will give a long inlet duration more sutied to a low geared higher reving engine coupled with a large carb and a decent expansion chamber could be fun to ride; but from the little i know i dont think it will suit tv gearing or a 20 mill delorto,

It think you will find the porting on the eBay kits is quite conservative, But the best way to measure it is to fit it and use a timing disc to find the port timmings.

Unsure of what to do now, I suppose I could fit it and see how it performs, but not too confident in the results after what I`ve been told, might be back to the drawing board.

thats the trouble with um mate,,,, as forrest gump says ,,, you never know what you gonna get!!!

that,ll gob out more fuel than it,ll burn,, unless,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you put a reed on it. i copied a broadhuirst one ,, made it out of rd 400 reed and rubber,, 30mil pwk carb fits under panels with a remote filter, pulls like a pross,,used the mig to weld it.. looked like pigeon s**t but ground it smooth, pressure tested it and found a few pin prick holes,, so i bladdered araldite on the outside to seal it,, lad who,s scoot its on loves it,,

if you have nothing,,, you have to do something!!
