Hi Guys

Posting this for a mate who is going to put a T5 engine into a German GS150 , he's getting the engine mount bracket and rear shock bracket from SIP ,but has been told he will need to cut the frame so that the carb doesnt hit it.Is this correct or can he get another manifold/carb so that he doesn't need to cut it?
Any other advice regarding the engine swap greatly appreciated :)
Cheers

I fitted a p200 engine to my gs 150 about 7 years ago, long since sold, i made my own engine mount bracket, i had trouble with the shock had to offset it with a spacer as far as i remember, , but i fitted a pwk carb and manifold with no cutting, i had to drill a 10mm hole to allow the petrol pipe to exit higher up , otherwise i had no issue's. hope that help's.

The easy way is to fit an adapter, if you got skills you weld the swing from a wideframe engine to the p engine..

Autolube as it might have look like in the 50´s..

That`s bloody brilliant, a nice bit of thought and some pretty cool engineering gone into that. 8-)

What size of PWK carb did you use?

i think a 28 mil not too sure, it was bought from scootrs with the manifold,i didnt have to cut the frame just bolted the swing arm to the frame underneath . i did have to offset the shock but the original gs engine could be put straight back in.
