I've used this set up for years and wouldnt rush to change back. Because the gearwheel is larger its like a quick action throttle so I can use my Mikuni without having 2 goes at turning the grip. I locate mine with the usual pin, which stops against a small metal tab bolted where the throttle rod bush locates.

Thanks for all the advice especially from Mag like I said it does work but it could do with a bit of a tidy up out of interest is it better to use plastic or a metal gearwheel or does it not make a difference either way thanks again.
