having read on here about these fleabay alli barrells and what can be done with them, I`ve ordered one, a 225 to put on my otherwise standard TV200, not looking for rev monster or stump puller, just a bit of extra oomph to lug me and her indoors about as she won`t go on the TS1.(nothing to hold on to) I`ll keep all the standard bits to replace whenever, questions, I`m quite capable of tidying up the ports but wouldn`t mind a bit of improvement, could I do it with some advice or let somebody who knows what there doing sort it,I intend to run it with a 25mm delly, through a std. airbox suitably modified, I`ll be buying an Asso piston or something similar to go with it. any suggestions or ideas anyone.

I wouldn't bother with the Asso piston personally, one of Rone Mosses avanti piston won't be much more and will be a MUCH better bet with thin wire rings. You have tall gearing on that TV so don't go too wild on the porting

till you have the kit physically in your hands you cant really decide what to do with them,, usually the ports are all over the place,, have had to top and tail barrels, to get any sort of performance out of them,, the heads are usually crap,, scrap ,,but if you know what your doing you can get some really good results, use your tv barrel as a guide and try to duplicate the ports to the ali barrel,, the extra 25cc should give you the extra oomp you desire,, good luck

Thanks for the tips so far, I have only got the cylinder so no worry about the head, I should have one somewhere, what I don`t want to do, is do anything that will require the engine to rev to get more power, just need a motor that will happily plod along without the need to rev to get any sort of power, am I right in thinking that what I don`t want to be doing is raising the exhaust port at all, I`m just not up to speed with port dimensions and sizes etc.
