Have put together a ts1 engine with a mikuni tmx carb ,it starts easily 2nd kick but is ticking over just a little too quick , we have tried the idle screw and tried air screw also , but made no difference ,checked carb rubber and carb for air leaks, checked choke all o.k .......would i be right in thinking if we change to a smaller pilot this may well help ?

Have you checked the cables not too tight?

ide go for a bigger pilot no bigger than 22.5 high revs usualy meen its weak
