No tail light, side light or speedo light!!

Need some more leccy help! Thought I had everything sort, engine was running lovely then I tried the lights :wtf:

First off they were all working, then I realised the engine would not turn off, turns out I had put one of the greens above the black from the ignition (where the speed bulb now is).

Re-wired it as per photo after looking at various diagrams.

Now, main light (dipped and full beam) is ok, but no tail, side or speedo light.

I have taken the power for the horn (working fine) from a spur by the headset that also spurs for the front brake (front brake and back brake fine but think they may be lighting both elements in the bulb).

Earths all look ok.

Any ideas appreciated as I'm about two hours from getting it on the road if I can sort this out.

Hi,put all the blacks together as you have 1 black from the main loom that looks like its going to a brown/purple,remember the speedo bulb holder needs to be earthed to work.

Side light is the yellow wire ,check it goes to 1 side of the festoon bulb and make sure the other side of the bulb is earthed.

And if all else fails remember there is no actual requirement t have a side light ...

should I put the two blacks together in the right hand socket, below the speedo bulb? On my old loom I had a purple wire, but no purple wire on the new loom :wtf: The black was spare so I thought it was a straight swap for the original purple. I'll give the blacks a go tomorrow night, don't think the neighbours would appreciate the sweet sound of a two stroke expansion this late

Thanks Rosscla, thought I could get away without a speedo and side light but the tail light is a different matter Need to SORN the scooter tomorrow as I need the lights for he MOT.

Yep all 3 blacks should go together

You don't need to start the scoot up just put a 12 volt feed up the brown wire from the main harness (remote 12v battery) ,i do this as 2 stroke fills the house when i run scoots up so I'm a non smoker these days
