practical scootering on a budget

picked a Serveta 150 Special up just before christmas.
plan was to make a practical daily ride using bits i already had around, and give my Special bit of a rest

seemed to work out ok






not original indicators, but fit in with look ok, and only £10 from ebay, and paid the same for the Craven topbox, which is very handy.

total outlay inc original purchase, mot, registration etc about £1200

it is fun to ride around, feels and sounds just like a Lambretta
hopefully it will need minimal maintenance and just do what it was built for

it's to light the way on dark rural roads, and works very well; I already had it, just sitting on a shelf, so that's what i used...

The indicators look a bit sturdier than the originals and I like the way you've mounted the rear ones as well.

Lovely scoot, good to see that nice wheels can be put on the road without breaking the bank

Very nice. The only trouble is, with that look you will keep being followed everywhere by scooterists thinking you are an old codger so they can offer you £50 for it like we all used to do back in the 80's :biggrin:

which will only get worse if i fit the flyscreen to it!
