Which way to go....? RB or TS1 or ...?

Right everyone - Got myself a 200 engine casing and I fancy building an old fashioned 'balls out' engine, so I'm sat here thinking do I go for a dated design in the TS1 as there are a lot of people out there with knowledge/experience on how to get the best out of them, or do I go for an RB which is a later design but has less knowledge/experience out there...?

Touring is not top of my priorities, I've got an engine for that and am more than happy with what it does.

This time I simply want to scare myself...!

Thoughts please.....

I think you've answered your own question... I want to scare myself..!! RB it is then.. out of the box quick as a quick thing..!!!
As usual, clutch, crank & drive train etc has to be top notch to suit.. a guy here has one on a GP, built by A/F, and you can't help but smile when you open the throttle. Addictive...!!!

For me TS is a good balance, quick enough, and not as much stress (for 18-22HP), on the engine components... I run a 4 plate clutch, seems to work OK...

Regards

How old fashioned?
Wouldn't old fashioned mean both the TS and RB aren't suitable?

i guess thats as in "good old fashioned" as a turn of phrase .. often followed by "f@@king" or "smashing of back doors"
