I've just fitted one I found on ebay. I think I searched for fuel sender unit as i was originally going to fit an auto scooter one and then this kit came up. It took about four hours to fit and can be done by anyone who has the luxury of being able to take your time.

Mine's fitted to an Eric Tudor alloy tank which has a nice flat top to make it easier. You need to plan the location to ensure the sender unit float moves freely. It takes a bit of measuring and calculating, but the instructions are easy to follow. Mine's connected up to a fused unit in the butty box with five outlets for my various electronic toys and comes on when the ignition is turned on.

the one thing you MUST do is to ensure the tank is free from swarf before putting it back in. It was easier with the alloy tank as it won't rust when you flush it out for half an hour with water.

Anyway it seems to be working well and holds up to 53 year old lammy vibration. I'll be fitting two to my diablo tanks as well.

Bottom photo is during fitting, wires are now safely tucked away.
