This is the configuration of the rectifier, simply swap the wires from the regulator you now have into this new rectifier the DC labeled connector is the only difference from your old rectifier and this can connect to your Tacho to power it, The Tacho comes with a full set of instructions for fitting but the assumption is made that the unit will be installed in a bike with a battery. There are Four wires coming out of the tacho,
1. to the spark plug or HT lead,
2. to the positive on the battery,
3. to earth,
4. to the positive on your "connect key on DC 12V main power switch"

If I am correct (and I may not be) you can connect 2 and 4 together and then to the DC connector on the new rectifier instead of to a battery and wire the others as stated. I did this yesterday and the tacho worked(as I said I may be mistaken about wires 2+4 and my tacho may explode but it works for the moment).
You will need to follow the instructions on set up BEFORE you connect the sensor cable to the ht lead but that is all explained in the sheet you will get with it
