I have a Race Rapido 200 which I have run for around 10 years, it has run perfect with only new rings a few years ago, the kit has been fantastic and done many miles going to UK and European rallys, it's fitted with a JL 3 curly, 30mm PHBH Dellorto with an air filter, 15/46 sprockets on an Li 150 box to suit the revy kit, I reckon its about time for a re bore and new piston, I am looking for something a bit more torquey with less revs which I can gear a little higher, but still want to keep the same carb and exhaust, so I guess I am looking at a full skirt piston what are my options ?

why dont you fit a mb reed valve, and bore it out 225 and use a avanti mitaka ts1 piston, enlarge intake and get a boost port cut, exhaust port might be ok,but you could raise it slightly, probaly cost around £350 all in,if you could rebuild top end yourself, you should have a nice engine, only drawback, there would be no oversizes, rebores with the piston, but there are other alternatives, like rapido 225 pistons.

What about Asso 70mm piston. Thin rings and full length skirt. That would bring the inlet timing down a bit on the Race barrel. Just bought one for my Classic Rapido 200 barrel, @ £90.
