Not really surprised you've got problems the carb is way too big

If you have one it will certainly work better but still big for the kit.

To be fair it will run best with a std type carb a 24mm or even a 20mm.
People don't realise just how well std vespa carbs work. If you can get 20hp from a 210 with a std carb why go big on a DR?
If you really have to use a bigger carb I would have thought av264 and start with an X7 needle. Main jet wise I would imagine start with a 115 and work down.

Not really surprised you've got problems the carb is way too big . That was with standard px125 carb !!! changed to 24 mm then 28 when 166 fitted and dynoed on both !!!
