Well; I'm really not sure what to make of this. It's certainly original and knowing something about the Messerschmitt BF109 I recognise the attention to detail. It's very well done. Taste, on the other hand, is a different matter.

At the risk of being controversial, is it painted or wrapped?

I've seen this first hand and can guarantee that its all paint, even the toolbox door picture and signature.
As for taste, yes it can be seen as controversial but so can any other war theme irrespective of your nationality, look up the history of the pilot there was no one even close to what he had done.

I like it.
As for taste - the owner shows considerably greater taste than the people that litter this site with pictures of two tone clones.

Wait until you see his next custom.
Not controversial but another one with exceptional detail

Hi, The theme came about for this scoot over an argument, who was the best fighter pilot of all time, it was a year or so ago when we were all celebrating the 70th anniversary of the battle of britain, the best Spitfire pilot of this era was Johnny Johnson, who was canadian with around 30 kills, Erich Hartmann 352 kills, never shot down by enemy fire, the fact he was German, I don't have a problem with, History is History you can bury your head in the sand but it won't go away! This guy was and is the best fighter pilot of all time, his record has not been beaten even in the jet age, just a final thought, if any british refused to fight they were court marshalled and imprisoned for a couple of years, any german refusing not to fight for his country was shot.
Hope you like the scoot, its a 1986 T5 Mk1 with a very low frame number, all original and yes its custom paint in a matt finish
