Your best bet would be to have a look at some parts fairs, but they are most likely going to be written in Italian unless the Li125s was exported to any other english speaking country (USA?)

As far as working on it is concerned you can pretty much refer to the DL/GP125 specification. About the only differences that I can think of are that the early examples had slightly different jetting in the 20mm carb and that many of the Italian imports are likely to have non-Ducati ignitions fitted. Porting, head, gearbox, timing, etc are all as per GP125.

Yes, they are pretty much one and the same engine. Indeed, if you look in the 60s tuning manual about upgrading an LI to LI125 Special spec' you'll see that the parts listed for the conversion are actually all of the GP125 parts (barrel+piston+head, gearbox, carb, jetting, exhaust spec', etc) and that timing needs to be changed to the GP spec too. These are excellent in standard trim and will run rings around SI,SII and SIII LI150s.

as you say "These are excellent in standard trim" for some reason the chap before me fitted a alloy 175 kit, 22 carb and gp crank. the good thing he passed on all he took off to me. not that am going to put it back on at the moment but i have it.
