Baffling

When did they introduce or remove the baffles from the Lambretta fuel tank? A little voice in the back of my head tells me that they were introduced to help combat fuel frothing in the tank. However; I've got an original tank from a 62 LI complete with baffles and what I take to be an original GP tank with none. So; either I understood that wrong or they were removed for some reason. It's not logical I tell you.

More than likely I should think. Or maybe it just didn't work as I can't say I've ever had any difficulty with petrol frothing.
