are all 150 pacemaker gearbox / gearclusters the same ,, the reason im asking is the other day i broke a tooth on the first gear of my gear cluster so i got another an put it in , an the prob is that the 3rd gear cog wont fit but it did before on my old cluster so i took the new one out an put them both side by side an noticed that the gaps between the teeth on my gear cluster are wider on the 3rd gear compared to the new one anybody any ideas or is it just a case of replacing my 3rd ger for another one an if so which one or am i going to have replace my gearbox thanks Darren

Darren,
According to Sticky's manual the early and late pacemaker 3rd gears were different spacings. The early one measures 33mm across 5 teeth and the late 33.8mm. I guess the early and late 3rd on the cluster must also be different to match. the early cluster is bored for a clutch centre spindle, the late one isn't. Are your new and old cluster spindles different?

man i have destroyed loads of hese boxes in the sprinter, you save the cogs that are re-useable and eventually you cobble another complete box up out of the bits,, the 3rd gear you have trouble with is a later one thats why it wont fit,, replace it with LI 150 third gear 37 tooth 96.2mm diametre, its only a mill smaller and will get you back on the road,, it will alter the ratio but at least you saved the box,,
