The Schwalbe iceman is a proper mud and snow tyre but the nearest Lambretta size is 100/80x10. They are making a 3.50 version which was supposed to be done this winter but we've not seen them yet. They've made mud and snow tyres compulsory in Germany in winter now. The Conti Navigators are supposed to be mud and snow tyres but I don't know what the compound is like.

its surry not oslo :frog: so more 6am cold and possibly icey road so quick warm up is more important than mud clearing abilities. i cant tell him to get snow spikes.

ive got navigators on mrs cezetas vespa and they are sticky and hot to the touch but then im a fair weather rider in meditation countries only rider.......my skin is too soft for this country :?

re s83s.....i cant see him useing old style tyres. he s an ex dispatch rider so chucks it about a bit which may esplain the crash.....and he has the only vespa i know with nylon crash mushroom like a sports bike which saved the scooter and engine.....so i think he was expecting something :wtf:

I have weathermans on a S2 and would recommend them but after reading some good reviews am thinking of a set of sportsmans for a bike I am now working on .

Has anyone had a winter on Sportsmans yet :?:

I was told that Navigators were no longer available by the main distributors for them. Whether that meant they are no longer being made or that they no longer import them I'm not sure.
Sava MC20 Monsoon[m] are an excellent replacement.
Do tyres get warm at 6AM in winter?
