Hi All,

Apoligies for those that may have already seen these pictures over on the LCGB site but I'm that excited with my finished GP project I thouight I'd share them here :)

I purchased the 125DL last march 2011 which although it looked ok in the pictures it was in need of some TLC along with some welding but was all complete & a good base to start.

A new 200 casing was purchased & cleaned up all by hand which felt like it took forever but came up ok in the end :) New bearings, seals, original GP gearbox with 19 tooth front sprocket added, 58mm MEC EUR crank, BGM stator & intermediate lightened flywheel to be installed along with many other new bits & bobs.

Engine almost there

I was originally going down the TS1 route but had a change of plan while building the engine up & decided to go for the Avanti TT3 in the end

Starting to come together slowly

Job Done. Finally got it out in the sunshine today to take some better pictures & now fitted with the Franspeed Avanti pipe :)

Think I,m pretty pleased with the results which I think has taken me about 9 months from start to finish & my first rebuild of a Lambretta in almost 20 years when then I had my SX200. The only niggle I have is maybe the front brake won't be good enough so will have to look into this in the coming months once I have some miles on it & if the shoes bed in. Think I will end up going the Hydraulic brake route.

The Franspeed Avanti pipe fits a treat & the only niggle I had with this is getting the nut located onto the front bolt where the chaincase & exhaust bracket fix together, bit fiddly as the TT3 barrel is large so there's not much room to play with but I got there in the end & is a much better fit than my old JL3 on my Li :)

Spec:
Avanti TT3 kit, GP125/200 italian gearbox with 19/46 sprockets, 58mm Mec Eur race crank, 30mm PHBH with Ram air filter, Franspeed Avanti touring pipe, Timing at 17degs BTDC, squish set at 1.4mm

Gearing at the moment while running in I'll leave at 4.8 final drive & will see if it needs to come down once I get some miles on it.

MOT in a few weeks then off to get it registered & start getting some running in miles done ;)

Cheers
Mike

Very nice Mike, just done an Avanti for a mate although we used 20 /47 with the GP box.I wondered if you took a snap of the new hanger mounting as we have to modify a JL3 and it may help to see how they have done it,thanks
