There is an excellent thread explaining how to do this and so I won't bother with the details but it was surprisingly straightforward and works a treat. I couldn't use a full size battery and so an extra thin burglar alarm battery was used which fits rather nicely.
The next job is a phone / Sat Nav charge point.

I'm liking that a lot too, very neat job but I'd recommend additional support for the tray as that bracket will snap if left as it is, maybe a bolt ar the rear through the rear mungaurd?

It has one. It's where the battery earth wire bolts to the frame. The battery is also velcroed in place as well as using the cable tie.
